Features Zmantime (Alarm) Clock

The Zmantime Alarm Clock app is a world first - a clear and well-designed shaot zmaniot (Jewish halachic time) alarm clock, with home screen widget to show the time in halachic time (what weve called ZmanTime) AND the ability to set alarms based on the shaot zmaniot time so that you never miss a zman again whether at home traveling or when the clocks change. The alarm feature is the key - for Zmantime alarms automatically adjusts to your location and the changing seasons, so you can set an alarm, e.g.
to alert 30 minutes before shkia every day (or on selected days), and it will AUTOMATICALLY adjust to seasonal daylight changes or if your location changes.Latest revision (1.1) includes the following improvements:Improved location search efficiency; Adjustment of play when on silent to include meeting/vibration only settings, and general improvements to app functioning.Major features of ZmanTime Alarm Clock app:** Built-in and customisable shaot zmaniot alarms** Clear home-screen Shaot Zmaniot clock widget to view Jewish time, in real-timeย (NOTE: due to an android limitation on loading widgets from external storage (e.g.
SD card), please ensure the app is installed on Internal Storage for the widget to function properly.** Toggle between GRA and Magen Avraham opinions** Updates and synchronises via mobile network or GPS** Automatically adjusts to new locations and time-zones (advises when not synchronised to avoid mistakes).** List of zmanim for next 3 days at current location** Contains descriptions of how Zmanim are calculated, including brief details on the major opinions, and how the Zmantime widget works.
(This section to be greatly expanded in future versions).**** Next version to include calendar reminders for significant upcoming dates, such as fast days and Rosh Chodesh, as well as other additions and improvements ****========================================================The ZmanTime app calculates all zmanim using the kosherJava zmanim API, with much thanks and appreciation due to the guys at Kosher Java for enabling the development of apps like this and general assistance with Judaism observance (http://www.kosherjava.com/zmanim-project)If you have any questions about how the zmanim are calculated on the app, or other zmanim-related requests please read our explanatory sections and/or send your questions on to us and well answer whenever we can (for any halachic decision please consult a competent halachic authority).Note: we have calculated zmanim based on sea level altitude and average atmospheric conditions, so you may find up to 2 minutes discrepancy with alternatively calculated times, depending on altitude and conditions used in the calculation.

What Our Users Say

Don't just take our word for it. Here's what our users have to say about our Android app.

"The widget is too large and not customizable, uninstalling."

MV C

"Best Zmanim app for mobile phones period! I can set an alarm and hear the Shema exactly when the earliest time to recite it begins. However, I recently purchased a Moto Z2, and I can't seem to the alarms to work anymore! Technical support please! Other than that, it's a solid 5 Stars"

"I highly recommend this program. The only way it could be improved, would be for it to divide the hour into 1080 halaqim (parts) and each heleq (part) into 76 rega'im (moments.) I would pay whatever I could afford to have a watch that divided talmudic hours into 1080 parts and each part into 76 moments, just on the principle of the matter. For a truly Jewish watch."

A Google user

"Anyone alive out here. Please react. Clock and app keep stopping whenever I click on the today's zmanim in the menu. Time for an update please"

Errol Feldman

"The GUI is simple, straightforward, but still very pleasant. It does what it claims to do, it's worth the price. I would like to see those improvements in the future: 1) Option for Hebrew for words that are in Hebrew, like Neitz would be ื ืฅ 2) The ability to set each zman calculation, such that'll fit the system our community use, something like the way it's done in the "Zmanim" by "Jay Gindin" would be very cool (the way you click a zman to select it's calculation, with multiple options).. 3) ZmanTime alarms configuration a little different, instead of fixed up to 60 minutes before or after a predefined Zman, I would like to set hh:mm (hours:minutes) before or after one of a [list of zmanim]. So I can set the clock to 1:15 real hours before Tzizit, as it's the time it takes me to wakeup, brahot, drive to mikve, walk to school etc.. and be ready asap for Tzizit. I am volunteering for QA if needed. Thanks allot and Yesharkoah"

"I'm not Jewish, but I want to learn the ancient Biblical ways, and this app helps put Scripture in perspective. Well worth it."

Steve Kluze

"Works very well and great to familiarize yourself with zmanim. Please add the length of each halachic minute so it's easier to follow using regular time. ..ty"

Rachel Milrad

"One of my most useful apps when abroad. Never miss mincha!"
